Information Basil sauce

Ingredients: Tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, salt, basil 0.1%.

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar of basil sauce
  • 400g of pasta (preferably spaghetti, penne, or fusilli)
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Cook the Pasta:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.

Prepare the Sauce:

While the pasta cooks, heat 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Pour the basil sauce into the pan and warm it over low heat, stirring occasionally.

Combine the Pasta with the Sauce:

Drain the al dente pasta, reserving one cup of the cooking water.

Add the drained pasta to the pan with the basil sauce.

Stir well to combine, adding a little pasta cooking water if the sauce seems too thick.
