Where to start
What kind of business do you run?
Terms change quite a lot depending on what you do. Go straight to the case that applies to you.
Without having to ask
The terms
They are the same for everyone, and you find them written here instead of after three emails.
| Term | Value |
|---|---|
| Minimum order | 8 full cartons |
| Delivery | 10 working days |
| Shipping within Italy | €20.00 · free over €400 |
| Shipping abroad | always quoted individually |
| VAT | 10% (passata 4%, oregano 5%) |
We send you the full price list, with codes, sizes and prices per carton, as soon as you write to us. It is also available in English.
Payment terms grow with the relationship
The first orders are settled on delivery. After a few orders that have gone smoothly we move to deferred terms, agreed case by case. It is not a rule written out of mistrust: it is how a lasting relationship is built.
Five different situations
What changes for you
Shop or delicatessen
Minimum 8 cartonsOn the shelf the most requested size is 212 ml, followed by 314 ml. For the deli counter there is the vacuum-packed line instead — olives and vegetables in olive oil to be sold by weight.
You can make up the cartons by mixing whichever lines you like: you do not have to take eight of the same product.
On area exclusivity: we grant it rarely, and only where the volumes justify it. We would rather say so up front than promise it and then take it back.
Restaurants, hotels, breakfasts
Dedicated linePart of the price list is designed for the kitchen — large sizes for those who work by the portion — and there is a single-portion line for breakfasts and buffets.
If you serve breakfast, single-portion marmalades and jams are the simplest way to put a product people recognise on the table.
Wholesaler or distributor
By volumeAbove certain quantities the terms are open to discussion: price brackets on the list, agreed delivery times, and the chance to plan production around the season instead of chasing it.
One thing worth knowing: we are producers, not packers. Most of what you sell is grown and processed by us, which means that on large quantities planning counts for more than price.
Export buyer
EU · USAWe already export to several European countries. For the United States we hold FDA registration on twenty-two lines — sixteen across vegetables in olive oil, spreads and sauces, six dried products in pouches — all of them already supplied with a nutrition panel in the US format.
Marmalades and jams do not need FDA registration: they ship all the same, and we prepare the US nutrition panel when the order is placed.
For the United States we normally start from half a container. The price list also exists in English. Among protected designations we work with Cipolla Rossa di Tropea Calabria IGP (PGI).
Private label
Volume onlyWe do it, but not for everyone. Below a certain quantity it does not pay off for either side: more goes into development than the order is worth, and it ends badly for both.
If the volumes are there, we handle everything here: recipe, production, filling, packaging. The only thing you bring is the artwork. We can also develop a format we do not have on the price list.
How it went once
A container for the Middle East
An importer asked us for a line under their own brand. We developed a jar size we did not have, fine-tuned the recipes and produced everything in house: from the raw material to the sealed jar. The only thing that came from outside was the label artwork.
We granted exclusivity on that market. The first order was a container.
